The story of
Simon Waterfield
Welcome.
Five years of dealing with cancer encouraged me to put pen to paper.
This is not my cancer diary or even my blog.
It is not a textbook about cancer treatments.
It is not a list of natural cancer remedies.
Cancer has effects other than the physical. Its ripples go much further.
I wanted to explore how my cancer affected my thoughts and emotions.
The book is a collection of short stories and observations on those ripples.
The talks look at the effects on me and encourage my audience to look at cancer in a different more positive way.
I was genuinely surprised how much of an effect the cancer and the treatments had on my emotions and so on my life.
I didn’t set out to write about my cancer.
I’m a private person, not known to share emotions. Ask my wife!
I am inviting you to experience some of these ripples.
Welcome to my world.
Lastly, This isn’t as an orgy of introspection. I hope it might give you an insight into how others you may know with cancer are feeling.
